Every year Woof Wags + Co. works hard bringing creative snoods to our customers and their pets. With your purchases we are able to donate a percentage of our earnings to an organization who works toward bettering the lives of dogs. This year we are excited to introduce the Greater Chicago Cavalier Rescue (GCCR) as the recipient of this donation.
Since it's inception in 2005, this small, entirely volunteer-based rescue, has been devoted to taking in as many needy Cavaliers as possible, providing any medical care and/or behavioral rehabilitation needed, before matching each one with their perfect fur-ever families.
Due to multiple factors, GCCR has seen a substantial increase in the number of dogs relinquished into their care. From 2022 to 2023 alone, their rescue has experienced an over 400% increase in the number of dogs being surrendered. With these intakes comes substantial veterinary bills, greater need for volunteers, foster homes, transportation, and supplies.
